Dr. Lownes-Jackson has been a newspaper columnist for over fifteen years. She is a small business specialist, an author, an entrepreneur, a researcher, a small business consultant and a tenured Professor of Management who is also the Associate Dean of the College of Business at Tennessee State University. Dr. Lownes-Jackson’s educational background includes a Ph.D. degree from Vanderbilt University, a M.B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University, a M.Mngt. degree from Vanderbilt University and a B. A. from Fisk University. She also has post doctoral education in Marketing.
